A confrontation may be ordered between two or more persons who have made statements in the proceedings, when their statements disagree on facts or circumstances of importance.

The accused person's defense counsel may attend the confrontation with the accused person.

Those who are to be confronted shall take an oath before the act, with the exception of the accused person.

The act of confrontation shall begin with the reading aloud of the relevant portions of the statements deemed contradictory. Afterwards, the confronted persons shall be advised of the discrepancies so that they may reproach one another or attempt to reach agreement.

A record shall be drawn up for each confrontation, in which the ratifications, challenges and other circumstances that might be useful for the investigation shall be placed on record.
