Título VIII. Del abandono de la expropiación

The expropriation shall be deemed abandoned if the expropriating party does not proceed to carry it out within two years counted from the entry into force of the law authorizing it. In such case, the expropriated party may initiate the necessary proceedings for the declaration of reversion, in accordance with the provisions of this law. This procedure shall not apply where the expropriating entity has manifested in a reliable manner interest in carrying out the work before the relevant Departmental Governorship.
