Article 18
In the proceedings related to family matters in which minors or incapacitated persons appear as plaintiffs, the competent judge shall be the one of the domicile of these or the one of the place where the defendant resides, at the choice of the plaintiffs.

Article 19
Any person who considers himself entitled to assert a claim in matters related to the family may do so directly before the competent tribunal, without prejudice to the fact that in the case of minors or incapacitated persons the judge provides for their adequate representation in accordance with article 48 of the Code of Civil and Commercial Procedure.

Article 20
The provisions of the Constitutive Law of the Judicial Branch (Government Decree 1862) and of the Code of Civil and Commercial Procedure (Decree-Law number 107) are applicable subsidiarily to the organization, operation and procedure of the Family Tribunals, insofar as they do not contravene what is provided in this law.

Article 21 (transitional)
The Supreme Court of Justice shall designate the tribunals that must exercise the family jurisdiction.
