Article 54 Budget

The draft budget of the Public Prosecutor's Office shall be sent annually to the Executive for its knowledge and to the Congress of the Republic for its approval and integration into the General Budget of the Nation. The execution of the budget shall be subject to the controls and oversight of the corresponding organs of the State, as established in Article 237 of the Political Constitution of the Republic.

Its global expenditure agreements shall be signed by the Prosecutor General of the Republic and the Treasurer of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

Article 55 Exemptions

The Public Prosecutor's Office shall have franking privileges in the national mails and telegraphs and shall use common paper in its pleadings, reports and opinions. The certified copies and transcripts of public deeds that it requests shall likewise be issued on plain paper.

Article 56 Own Funds

The Public Prosecutor's Office has private funds. Article 57 Organization

The Public Prosecutor's Office shall be administered by an administrative chief, appointed by the Prosecutor General of the Republic, on whom he shall directly depend. He shall have special knowledge in administration and manifest suitability for the office.

The administrative chief shall organize an office to inform the population and the media about all aspects relating to the institution that are of public relevance, respecting the provisions of Article 7 of this law.

Article 59 Regulation

The Prosecutor General of the Republic shall determine the special sections of the Administrative Headquarters and shall regulate their functions.

The Prosecutor General shall also regulate the career of the administrative personnel.
