Libro Dos Título Cuatro. Asociaciones con fines políticos

Associations with purposes of culture and political education are organizations of indefinite duration which, without being a political party or electoral civic committee, have as their essential purpose the knowledge, study and analysis of national problems.

The associations referred to in the preceding Article shall be governed by the provisions of the Civil Code. Their authorization, approval of statutes and registration shall correspond to the Registry of Citizens.

The Register of Citizens shall order the publication of the agreement in the official gazette, within the eight days following approval of the statutes, which in any case must be carried out free of charge. Once this requirement is satisfied, the registration of the entity in the respective department shall proceed.

Any modification of the bylaws of an association or of the composition of its permanent organs must be registered in the Register of Citizens within the following fifteen days.

The sanctions regime established for political parties is also applicable to associations with political purposes, insofar as applicable.

The associations referred to in this chapter may make publications of a political nature, by any means. In any case, the directors of the associations are liable for the content of such publications.
